 Mobile Robotics Camp  Prep School Renewable Robotics Class  Primary School Renewable Robotics Class  Renewable Robotics Summer Camp  Renewable Robotics High School Club  Renewable Robotics demonstration  Caribbean Robotics collaboration with Barbados Overview

Mobile Robotics Camp Kimroy Bailey Foundation executed a series of 1 day robotics workshop across various locations island wide and impacted a total of 180 students. 180 students impacted Montego Bay - 15 St. Elizabeth - 30 Linstead - 30 May Pen - 30 Ocho Rios - 35 Kingston - 40

Mobile Robotics Camp Mobile One Day RoboCamp Our camp encouraged ladies in robotics by ensuring that we have a balance pool of both male and female participants. The One day camp ran from 9:00am- 3:00pm. Students were taught the principles of robot design, application of Science and Technology through robotics Our Mobile Robotics Camp was sponsored by the Kimroy Bailey Foundation, Digital Yard and Access Financial Services.

20 students participated in our weekly after school robotics program This camp included primarily GSAT students UTech Research Renewable Robotics at El Instituto de Mandevilla

Students were divided in 5 groups of 4 students. Students were taught the basics of assembling a robot Students were introduced to the field of programming using graphical coding on the Lego Mindstorm platform Students were taught the principles of input and output and program their Lego robots using sensors for sound and touch UTech Research Renewable Robotics at El Instituto de Mandevilla

Primary School Renewable Robotics UTech Research 30 students participated in our 1 week Summer Rural Renewable Robotics Camp. Students were provided with lunch due to their poor economic background Students were taught about Renewable Energy, Basics of Robotics and Science content taught using interactive teaching aids

Primary School Renewable Robotics UTech Research Students were divided in groups of four and five each provided with a Lego Robotics kit. Topics such as measurement, friction and forces were taught in preparation for GSAT This group for example built a measurement device that displayed distance covered whenever the wheel turns, ideal for measuring curves or elongated surfaces

Renewable Robotics Summer Camp Our 5 Day Renewable Robotics Summer Camp targetted High School students Day 1 to 3 concentrated on Robotics design, assembly, application and programming using the Arduino platform

Renewable Robotics Summer Camp Day 4 students did a tour of the Wigton Windfarm and saw applications of Renewable Energy Students were also given the opportunity to assemble a wind turbine at the Wigton Windfarm Ltd. Day 5 students had a tour of the UTech 100kw Solar installation

Renewable Robotics High School Club Kimroy Bailey Robotics through our High School Robotics Club program assisted the May Day High School to build a smart house Students tapped into skills including: Technical drawing, woodwork, principles of business and information technology The automated house had occupancy sensors, LED lights, automatic gate and smart phone control

Renewable Robotics High School Club Robotics club members delivered a presentation about the automated house at the National Innovation Competition hosted by the Scientific Research Council After a business case presentation and house demonstration they were awarded first place in the 2013 competition.

Renewable Robotics Demonstration KB Foundation has executed numerous STEM workshop island wide at locations including: Morant Bay High School Jamaica College Ewarton High School Wait-A Bit All Age Junior Achievement Jamaica workshop SRC symposiums UTech Research Day Norman Manley High School

Renewable Robotics in Barbados KB Foundation has collaborated with the Barbados Community College (BCC) to benchmark an inter-island STEM initiative where resources and expertise will be shared between KB Robotics lab in Jamaica and the BCC The collaboration bore its first fruit when Kimroy travelled to Barbados in March 2015 to demonstrate BaileyBotics a Fire fighter robot and BaileyBionics a robotic hand both made by Kimroy Bailey Robotics.

Way Forward Measuring Impact of Robotic Programs Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation demystified IPO model critcal IT and Programming, changes such as block programming STEM critical and skills to be explored in this multidisciplinary field.

Kimroy Bailey Group Kimroy Bailey has received numerous awards for his work in STEM education including the Prime Minister Youth Award for international achievements.
