Controllo di accesso al mezzo Orientato alla connessione – CID (Connection ID, ID di Connessione, FS (Service Flows, Flussi di Servizi) Accesso al canale – UL-MAP  definisce l’accesso al canale di uplink  definisce i profili dei burst dei dati di uplink – DL-MAP  definisce i profili dei burst dei dati di downlink – UL-MAP e DL-MAP vengono trasmessi entrambi all’inizio di ogni subframe downlink (FDD e TDD)
