Black IIT This design proposes an attachment for the windows assembly using Garlock Helicoflex or equivalent seal and a periphery wedge retainer for both, absorber and manifold windows. A tool is designed to protect the delicate windows for handling and to aid on the installation and removal of the windows from either of the chambers WINDOW INSERTION TOOL Tool/window assembly Manifold housing Vacuum chamber

The tool outer housing is bayonet inserted and locked in to the manifold or chamber shell which becomes the fulcrum for the operation of the tool Seating flange Bayonet connection

Black IIT The window is attached to the lead end of the tool plunger then it is guide positioned on to the window seat By an integral mechanical device of the tool, the plunger is actuated to develop the operating compression of the seals ~800 lb/in Helium sealing force.
