Beam line review group aims for review paul drumm
Scope of beam line review: * Establish that the front end (geometry) is invariant under emittance and momentum settings and is capable of delivering. * That the designs so far demonstrate low risk; that the matching section can deliver the beams we require. * That the design process is capable of providing the optics solutions of the 3x3 matrix. * Engineering, power supplies, controls and other: status & plans

What we want from today! The beam line optics design is far from finished! We seek comments on our belief that: –The current design strategy will meet needs of MICE and is appropriate –That our confidence in the stability of the geometry is not misplaced To keep to the schedule we seek: –Your confidence that the strategy for engineering ( i.p. the front end ) is low risk
Documents & Presentations: Description of the design process 1) Linear optics 2) Detailed monte carlo simulation Description of the engineering: 3) Engineering design & construction - schedule and - design & construction strategy
