The Problem At least 10% of the global population have disabilities Most websites are inaccessible to the visually disabled. Companies do not acknowledge this population as websites are increasingly being designed without regard to their needs

Reasons for Inaccessibility Flash animation Overuse of images Etc… Text interpreters employed by the visually impaired have trouble reading animations or images.

Solutions Textually described graphics or video Well marked-up tables or frames Screen reader compatibility Integrating disabled users in the design process
