A New World  Coloring Page! Coloring Page!  In the year 1620, Pilgrims sailed from England to look for a New World on a ship called the Mayflower. The voyage took 65 days and it was a difficult journey.

Arrival to the New World The Pilgrims landed near Plymouth Rock and began building homes. During the first winter, many people died because there was not enough food to eat.

Wampanoag Tribe In 1621, the Pilgrims became friends with the Wampanoag tribe of Native Americans. This tribe helped the Pilgrims learn how to hunt and plant crops. Video Clip!

Fall Harvest The fall harvest in 1621 was so good and the pilgrims were so grateful that they invited their Native American friends to a feast.

Thanksgiving The first Thanksgiving feast lasted for 3 days. Today, we remember the pilgrims when we celebrate Thanksgiving in November, which became a National Holiday in 1863.

Thankfulness Thanksgiving today is still a day to be thankful for everything we have.
