Four Modules The Meaning of Academic Integrity The Meaning and Prevention of Plagiarism Proper Citation Procedures Authorized and Unauthorized Collaboration

Overview of relevant definitions and UCD policies Pre-test on definitions and policies Tutorial –Help students review UCD policies –Apply policy to diverse situations Final Quiz Webliography Each Module Five Sections

Place the issue in the context of the academic community Provide definitions of key terms and policies Present students with strategies for meeting the demands of university policies Model consistent and accurate citation (using MLA style) Overview Four objectives

After reviewing the module overview, students may take a practice quiz reviewing the information in that module. 100% on the Quiz? Students may opt to skip the tutorial and proceed to the next module. Pre-test

Students will be asked to apply the definitions and policies in the review section to hypothetical situations. –For example, in module three, “Proper Citation Procedures,” students will identify correctly cited and paraphrased quotes taken from texts published by campus authors. Student answers to tutorial questions will receive more elaborate feedback and explanations than on the pretest. Tutorial

Be selected randomly from a database of categorized questions. Represent a range of specific topics from within each module from “common knowledge” to “paraphrasing.” Be created with the MyUCDavis QuizBuilder tool. Final Quiz Questions will
