About FCA The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives... one heart at a time. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful medium of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

The FCA Vision To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.

The FCA Mission To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

The FCA Values Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.

Integrity We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately, and publicly.

Serving We will model Jesus' example of serving.

Teamwork We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships.

Excellence We will honor and glorify God in all we do.

Coaches At the heart of FCA are coaches. Our role is to minister to these men and women by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Christ. FCA ministers to coaches through Bible studies, staff contacts, prayer support, discipleship and mentoring, Behind the Bench (a program for coaches wives), resources, outreach events, national and local conventions, conferences and retreats.

Sport-Specific Ministries FCA has experienced significant growth through our Sport-Specific Ministries in the past 5 years. Currently, we have six Sport-Specific Ministries: golf, lacrosse, baseball, fitness, motocross, and endurance. This has allowed us to go expand our ministry as we minister more effectively to the coaches and athletes in each of these sports.

The Vision The vision of FCA's Sport-Specific Ministries is to minister to a community of people who are united around a particular sport. FCA Sport-Specific Ministries desire to reach and serve athletes, coaches, and volunteers to expand God ’ s Kingdom.

The Ever Growing Need The need today is even greater to reach athletes and coaches different ways: A study shows that 41 million youth ages 6-18 participated in organized youth sports and just over 7 million participated in high school sports. The impact opportunity is to reach more of the remaining 34 million youth who participate outside of high school sports and that we are not reaching in our Campus or Camps Ministries. Our goal is to have 12 Sport-Specific Ministries in the next five years so that we can better reach the 34 million athletes that we can not reach through our other ministries. (Source: National Council of Youth Sports Membership Survey 2005, and the National Federation of State High School Associations, )

The Specific’s We feel that Sport-Specific Ministry is a powerful way to do ministry, because the philosophy that people of sport best reach people of their sport is a focused approach. Sport-Specific Ministries partner with local FCA offices to have a greater impact. Over the past thirty years, we have seen Sport- Specific Ministry work, because it combines three passions in a person's heart: 1. A passion for Jesus Christ 2. A passion for their Sport 3. A passion to reach people in their Sport

Conclusion FCA is a fantastic way to get involved in a ministry that has great values and goals. Mature in your Faith with others that love Jesus Christ and want to impact the World.
