Presentation transcript:

Rick Wilkinson New CSC Geometry u GEANT Simulation uses DDD Geometry è Uses active gas volumes u Digitization/Reconstruction adds a C++ geometry è Adds strips, wires è Now based on aluminum frame, not gas volume. (Tim Cox) u Testing that they match up: è Layer positions r Local z matches up precisely. è Strip and wire positions r RecHit resolution plots vs. SimHits look OK. è Global positions r Standalone tracking looks OK. u Positive endcap looks good, and will do negative today.

Rick Wilkinson CSC Digitization: Calibrations u Added interfaces to calibrations in 1_4_0 for: è Gains è Pedestals è Pedestal width è Correlated Noise è Crosstalk u Can switch between database access or configurable parameters (default). u Checking no bugs were introduced. è Gains & pedestal plots look good. è Crosstalk & correlated noise validated using standalone tests & printouts.

Rick Wilkinson Final Caveats: Geometry: u Might be a bug in a parameter that would break RecHit building. Digitization: u It would be good to tune timing in.cfi, to center the peaks.
