S.W.O.T. Analysis Opportunities Strengths Threats Weaknesses Export to other European countries Expand DøgnNetto Expand in Private labels Threats Other discount stores: Aldi, Lidl (German), Fakta, SuperBrugsen (Danish) Tesco, (United Kingdom) Asda (Part of the WalMart family) Strengths Great to adjust due to change in consumer behavior Economies of scale with hyper markets (i.e. Føtex and Bilka) in Denmark (not in the same degree in Europe though) Part of A.P. Moeller – MAERSK (biggest shipping company in the world, revenue approx 1/6 compared to WalMart ) Weaknesses Easy to imitate pricing strategy Low bargain power compared to Tesco & ASDA in UK You pay for your carrier bag!!!
