Status line: describes the selected tool Tool description with a help hintImage size Cursor location (0, 0 is the upper left hand corner) Status line for the Rectangular Selection tool: You use the Rectangular Selection tool in cropping an image. You can also move, copy, and modify selected areas.
Tip: watch the status line These change as you make the selection. You can adjust selections one pixel at a time using the arrow keys. The status line changes while you are making a selection:
Rotate an image Image > Rotate
View menu Changing the view does not alter the image, just what you see while working on it.
Adjusting contrast Adjustments > Brightness/contrast

Experiment – you can undo everything Paint.net keeps a complete history of every thing you do, and you can undo it one step at a time by typing control-z. The history window displays every step you have taken, and you can use it to immediately revert the image to any earlier point. Window > History
Apply the ink sketch effect Effects > Artistic > Ink sketch
Resize an image Image > Resize If you check Maintain aspect ratio, changing either the width or height automatically adjusts the other.
