Video in the Classroom Post-Production

Download the footage into iMovie  Connect the cable from the camera to the computer  Set the camera to VTR  Set the computer to “ Import ”  Make sure it shows “ camera connected ”  Click on “ Import ”

Graphic Organizer

Log the footage  Clips come in on the paste board  Re-name clips in a usable way  Make note of times and action

Assemble the Clips  Copy the clips onto the timeline  Arrange them in rough order  Use your storyboard as a guide

View the footage

Edit the clips  Fine tune the editing  Make sure a variety of shots and angles are used in each scene

Add Sound Effects and Music  Be aware of Copyright Guidelines  art.html art.html  Some sources say a maximum of 30 seconds for music  Others do not cite a minimum
