Why are you here? If people could, would they just sit on the couch all day? What makes people get up and do things? Is it the same for all people? This is your “theory of motivation”

Why are you here? Tell us your name Tell us why you’ve decided to go to college. Tell us why you’ve chosen this class. Tell us what your major is, if you’ve chosen one.

Notice any patterns? How might we “collect the data”? Could our data tell us why college students go to college?
