Scenario For Jetta: You’re choosing to buy a VW Jetta with either a diesel or gas engine. Which engine would save you money during a 10-year life span in Los Angeles California, with regular maintenance, and intent to sell the vehicle after a decade? Each car will be driven 30,000 highway miles and 10,000 city miles per year. The cost of gas, engine power, and emissions will also be considered.
