Workshop Goals 1.Show the PCM’s functionality 2.Show how the PCM can be used (by teachers / tutors, authors and learners) 3.Other goals?

TENC Objectives New pedagogical models. Overview of available resources, units of learning, programmes and learning networks. Pro active sharing. Assessment of competences. Offer effective support to users. Offer a distributed management model ("power to the people"). Integrating models and tools.

Current status Finalizing first version: ICT training pilot and Digital Cinema pilot start end of September. It’s a PROTOTYPE. Research work packages will add their components to later versions.

Installing the PCM client 1.tencomp-pcm-win-jre zip. 2.Unzip the client to a folder of your choice. 3.Execute tencomp-pcm.exe to start the application. 4.In Windows => Preferences set Discovery Server URL to /servers (?). /servers

PCM Concepts Community (e.g. Teaching) => Competence Profile (High School teacher) => Competence (Didactic skills) => Competence Development Plan (plan to acquire / get ‘Didactic skills’) => Action (practice: observe a lesson) => Resource (observation techniques)
