UAV Chinook

What is a UAV? A UAV or Unmanned Areal Vehicle is a self controlled vehicle that is used to perform operations that vary from recognisance to search and destroy missions. Many UAVs are used to look around in areas where people can’t go due to toxins, radiation, pressure, or other un-survivable situation.

Waveforms

Mechanical Concepts The helicopter blades at the back and front of the helicopter are used to make the helicopter move forward and backward by slowing either the front or rear blades The lower blades of the helicopter rotate slower on the front and the top blades in the rear to make it rotate in a “left turn” The same is true in the other direction The blades are positioned to lower the sound of the helicopter when in flight

Code Examples:

Code Examples Cont.:

Finished Product

Issues: First I had problems seeing if the helicopter worked when I got it I wasn’t able to cut the traces off of the initial microcontroller on the helicopter because the IC chips were unmarked I then made a controller board for the helicopter

Societal and Environmental Impact This Helicopter will have a minimal impact on the environment and society. It has a recharger for the battery It is small and won’t draw much attention to itself and even if it does people will think it is a toy
