Presentation transcript:

Overview This project will create a hybrid physical-digital system which will allow people with no musical knowledge or experience to play along with a live band. It is intended for anyone interested in music, however, it focuses on those wishing to take the next step and learn about the creative process. Specifically, the system will be setup for the user to explore timbre and texture, as opposed to the standard rhythm and pitch of most of Western music. This is done to foster an interest in alternative forms of music and spread the awareness of different aspects of music. Users will have the ability to practice and learn at home and then come together at community events (i.e. a band performance) to demonstrate their knowledge and discuss with others.
