Aviation and Ports Mission The mission of the Bureau of Aviation and Ports is to manage, operate, maintain and develop the State – owned aviation and maritime facilities in a safe and efficient manner meeting the demand for these facilities, and to administer State programs offered to the aviation and maritime industries in support of municipal and privately – owned facilities. Unit Duties and Responsibilities Aviation and Ports Counsel – Aviation and Ports Counsel – Represents the office of the Attorney General and provides legal counsel related to all Bureau operations. Aviation Administrator – Aviation Administrator – Oversees operation and maintenance of the State – owned general aviation airports and Bradley International Airport including building and grounds maintenance, airport operations, security, aircraft rescue and fire fighting activities and administers aviation industry programs. Project Management – Project Management – Oversees development and execution on the capital improvement program for all Bureau facilities. Maritime Manager – Maritime Manager – Oversees operation of the CT. River Ferries and State Pier and administers maritime industry programs. Leasing – Leasing – Facilitates the development, negotiation, execution and administration of agreements providing for the use and occupancy of Bureau facilities Fiscal and Administrative Services – Fiscal and Administrative Services – Directs and controls the financial interests and activities of the Bureau

CT River Ferry Captains – CT River Ferry Captains – Pilot ferry vessels serving the Chester - Hadlyme and Rocky Hill – Glastonbury crossings on the Connecticut River State Pier Coordinator - State Pier Coordinator - Provides on-site management representation, direction and control of pier operations, maintenance and security Dredging Project Coordinator – Dredging Project Coordinator – Provides project coordination with local port authorities, the Army Corps of Engineers and the CT DEP.
