Ways to reduce at work Tell last people who leave the office to turn off the lights Unplug your computer when finished for the day Don’t use plasma screens in the office they are Turn off the air conditioning during the cold months
Ways to reduce carbon footprint at school If the school is in walking distance have your kids walk to school. Its good exercise and saves gas on the buses Have your kids use lunch boxes instead of paper bags or use that instead of school lunches, its healthy for them and the paper bags don’t pollute the earth
Reducing carbon footprint at college When driving with friends car pool instead of using individual cars Use a rug if you have a wooden or tile floor it keeps the heat in and saves heat in the dorm Use a laptop verses using a desktop unit. Its easier to transport and it doesn’t require anywhere near as much energy as a desktop When eating make sure that the food is organic instead of the fatty foods
