Reducing Carbon Footprints By: Chris Zanta

Reducing Carbon footprint in the kitchen  Use vegetable oil while cooking  Use biodegradable products of all kinds  Only heat up the amount of water necessary when bringing water to a boil  Use tap water instead of bottled water. Bottled water will increase the amount of plastic in the environment

Reducing through travel and transportation  Try carpooling with someone else who is traveling to the same destination  Use the bus found around the city or town you live in.  If you can, buy a more fuel efficient car such as an electric car or a hybrid of some sort.

Reducing carbon footprint at school  If you can, walk to school or ride a bike to prevent the harmful effects of cars  Reduce the unnecessary use of air conditioning when not needed if possible  Use less energy emitting light bulbs throughout the school and replace older lightbulbs that release more energy

Lowering Carbon Footprint at Home  Reduce the loss of heat in your home  Use cavity wall insulation in your walls and loft insulation throughout the roof  Reduce the use of electrical appliances  Turn appliances off when not in use  Use low energy light bulbs
