There are five different groups of animals with vertebrates. They are: * Mammals * Fish * Reptiles * Birds * Amphibians

There are certain characteristics that make the hammerhead shark a fish.  A hammer head shark is cold-blooded. They breathe using gills. The hammerhead shark’s skin is covered in smooth skin instead of scales. A shark is unusual because most fish lay eggs. A shark reproduces babies by giving birth to a live shark.

Sharks are amazing fish that have been around since long before dinosaurs existed. They live in waters all over the world, in every ocean, and even in some rivers and lakes. Unlike bony fish, sharks have no bones. Their skeleton is made from cartilage. Cartilage is like straws.

Hammerheads can be blue or brown. Their belly is white. They have seven fins to swim with. Their eyes are black. Sharks are fish that can kill you. If your close to a hammerhead do slow strong strokes while you’re swimming. Hammer heads can be 1,o00 pounds. Hammerheads can be 20 feet long.

Hammerhead sharks eat flesh, squid, fish, crabs, and stingrays..

Some sharks live in the oceans, ponds, and rivers. Sharks are good at catching fish and crabs. They are found mostly in the ocean.

Sharks have five senses that you have. They can hear, taste, smell, see, and feel. But sharks have a sixth sense. It is called electro reception. More interesting facts

Sharks use electricity to hunt too. All living creatures in the water give off small electrical signals. Sharks have tiny holes in their faces called ampullae.

Interesting facts  If the hammerhead shark was not constantly moving, it would not be able to breath.

Sometimes hammerheads get together at different times of the year and gather in certain places. Interesting facts

Learning about the hammerhead shark is awesome. If you want to learn more information read six books or look it up on the internet. Type in all about hammerhead sharks. Enjoy!
