Who were the Pony Express?  The men who worked in the Pony Express were expert horseback riders.  They were under 18, so they would be light weight.  They where skinny and scrawny and preferred to be orphans.

What did they do?  They brought mail to people from east to west.  They rode on ponies and passed each other the letters so it only took 10 days to get the letters from east to west!  They did many things to send mail, and the they risked there lives to do it!

Why did they do it?  There was no one to send mail at that time so the Pony Express was formed.  They did it because there was no fast way to send letters.  People wanted to send packages to each other.

When did they do the Pony Express?  They only did it for one and a half years.  It started in  It ended in TIK- TOK

Where did they do it?  They did it all around the US  They all had posts they worked at and they passed the letter to each other at their posts and went to the next post.
