WHO WE ARE: NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED IN 2005 CHARITY ORGANIZATION TARGETS: EDUCATION VOCATIONAL SKILLS & TRAINING BASIC NEEDS WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT

BLANKET DRIVE FOR BAMYAN: Raqim Foundation, in collaboration with the Organization for the Advancement of Afghan Women, and supported by the Masjid-e-Mahajereen of Hayward, California, purchased 2000 blankets in Kabul, and shipped them by truck to Bamyan during the very harsh winter in February 2007, where they were distributed to 1000 families in 16 villages. The distribution of these blankets was made possible with the full support of the Provincial Government of Bamyan.

CURRENT PROJECTS: AFGHAN DENTAL RELIEF PROJECT (“ADRP”) GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR AFGHANISTAN (“GPFA”) ASSISTANCE CHILDREN OF WAR ASSISTANCE BADAKHSHAN HEALTH CLINIC

ADRP: DELIVERED CASH SUPPORT IN EXCESS OF $15,000 - THE RAQIM FOUNDATION DONATED $5,000, AND $10,000 WAS GENERATED DURING OUR FUNDRAISER

ADRP: THE RAQIM FOUNDATION WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN GARNERING SUPPORT FROM THE AFGHAN GOVERNMENT FOR THIS PROJECT. WE HAVE BROUGHT IN A PRIVATE PARTY WHO WILL PROVIDE TEMPORARY PREMISES FOR THE CLINIC.

GPFA: HELPING 93 WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN LOGAR DISTRICT TO GENERATE FOOD AND INCOME THROUGH THE CREATION OF FRUIT ORCHARDS, CASH CROPS, AND JOB TRAINING.

GPFA: RAQIM FOUNDATION'S $20,000 CONTRIBUTION GENERATED $42,000 IN MATCHING FUNDS, WHICH MADE THIS PROJECT POSSIBLE.

CHILDREN OF WAR: PROVIDED ANNUAL SUSTENANCE FOR MULTIPLE FAMILIES AND ORPHANS FURNISHED MEDICINE FOR THREE SCHOOLS IN AFGHANISTAN.

BADAKHSHAN HEALTH CLINIC: NO PREVIOUS HEALTH FACILITY IN ENTIRE SHUHADA DISTRICT (45 km villages) RAQIM FOUNDATION PROVIDED GRANT TO COMPLETE CLINIC

FLOOD PROTECTION: LEVEE AND RETAINING WALL PROJECT IN IZREB VILLAGE OF BADAKHSHAN PROVINCE AWAITING DETAILED INFO FROM THE LOCALS

NURISTAN GIRLS SCHOOL: TO ASSIST IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SCHOOL, WHEREBY THE LOCALS WILL DONATE THE LAND AND PROVIDE THE LABOR TO BUILD.

ORPHANAGE SCHOOL IN KABUL: TO COLLABORATE WITH GERMAN-BASED KUFA * TO RECONSTRUCT THIS SCHOOL, WHICH HAS ASKED FOR SOME ASSISTANCE -- $3,200 projected cost AWAITING MORE DETAILED INFO * the Assistance Committee for Afghan Refugees and Reconstruction of the Country
