Sufficient Wisdom

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” - Mark 12:30 “Do not love the world or anything in the world….” - 1 John 2:15

Sufficient Wisdom Today’s Outline: 1) Problem: Our Need for Wisdom 2) Solution 3) Application

Sufficient Wisdom “So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prison of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” - Romans 7:21-24

Sufficient Wisdom Today’s Outline: 1) Problem: Our Need for Wisdom 2) Solution: The Infusion of Wisdom 3) Application

Sufficient Wisdom “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way….” - Colossians 1:9-10a

Sufficient Wisdom Filled with the Full Knowledge of God’s Will through Spiritual Wisdom

Sufficient Wisdom We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. -1 Corinthians 2:12-16

Sufficient Wisdom

“They will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear me, so that they will never turn away from me.” - Jeremiah 32:38-40

Sufficient Wisdom Today’s Outline: 1) Problem: Our Need for Wisdom 2) Solution: The Infusion of Wisdom 3) Application: Our Prayer for Wisdom

Sufficient Wisdom 1) Prayer for Myself "What is one desire I can pray God would take away?“ "What is one desire I can pray God would give me?“ 2) Prayer for Others

Sufficient Wisdom 1) Prayer for Me "What is one desire I can pray God would take away?“ "What is one desire I can pray God would give me?“ 2) Prayer for Others

Sufficient Wisdom “Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature, and fully assured.” - Colossians 4:12
