How to Carve a Pumpkin And Counting Seeds Mrs. Pace’s Class Octoer, 22, 2014

We divided into our 3 groups and estimated how many seeds were inside of our pumpkins Oval GroupDiamond Group Triangle Group

Then we cut off the tops and scooped out the seeds

We used what we know about tens to count the seeds

We counted how many groups of ten and how many ones.

The Triangle Group’s Results

The Diamond Group’s Results

The Oval Group’s Results

Then, we carved our pumpkin and gave him a face!

Finally, we wrote some great How-tos about carving a pumpkin.

Learning with pumpkins is so much fun!
