Gears and Spline Shaft By Hajanthan.V

Gears Gears are used for the following reasons: –To reverse the direction of rotation –To increase or to decrease the speed of rotation –To move rotational motion to a different axis –To keep the rotation of two axes synchronized

Spline Shaft Spline shaft is used as simple and safe method of attaching steering components. The spline shaft is attached from the transmission to the differential. From the rear view of the car, spline shaft is turning counter- clockwise.

Gear & Spline Shaft Ring gear is the largest gear in the differential Pinion gear rotate with case. (smallest gear) Ring gear has 4.10 times more teeth than pinion gear.
