Empire State Building By: Kushayla Jackson, Taylor Hampton, Cade Thompson, and Hannah Higgins

Facts The architect of the Empire State Building is William F. Lamb. Height feet Surface area- 87,120 feet squared Volume- 37 million cubic feet There are 6,500 windows,73 elevators, and 1,860 steps from street level to the 103 rd floor.

Net

Scale Factor 1in = 100 ft. By using the scale factor and applying it to the scale model we were able determined the volume and surface area of the actual building. Model- Surface area- 871 in squared Volume- 370 cubic inches

Views Aerial view Side view Front View

Geometric elements Parallel lines Perpendicular lines Right triangles Congruent figures Similar figures

Base The base of the Empire State Building is a rectangular prism.

Conjectures 72 vertices Space(Volume)- 37 million cubic feet 244 Edges
