What the Sinner Destroys! “Wisdom is better than weapons of war; But one sinner destroys much good” (Ecclesiastes 9:18)

What the Sinner Destroys! The Ideal Society (Gal. 5:9)

Galatians 5:9 “A little leaven leavens the whole lump.” (One person’s influence can corrupt an entire society. [family, church, country])

What the Sinner Destroys! The Ideal Society (Gal. 5:9) The Influence of Truth (Matt. 18:6-7)

Matthew 18:6-7 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”

What the Sinner Destroys! The Ideal Society (Gal. 5:9) The Influence of Truth (Matt. 18:6-7) A Good Conscience (1 John 3:20-21)

1 John 3:20-21 “For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.” (We are in need of a good conscience)

What the Sinner Destroys! The Ideal Society (Gal. 5:9) The Influence of Truth (Matt. 18:6-7) A Good Conscience (1 John 3:20-21) His Own Happiness (Prov. 13:15)

Proverbs 13:15 “Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.” (Sin leads to unhappiness, not the joy that is promised by the world)

What the Sinner Destroys! The Ideal Society (Gal. 5:9) The Influence of Truth (Matt. 18:6-7) A Good Conscience (1 John 3:20-21) His Own Happiness (Prov. 13:15) His Own Soul (Acts 13:46)

Acts 13:46 “Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, ‘It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.’” (We personally will be responsible for our own demise should we reject God)

What the Sinner Destroys! The Ideal Society (Gal. 5:9) The Influence of Truth (Matt. 18:6-7) A Good Conscience (1 John 3:20-21) His Own Happiness (Prov. 13:15) His Own Soul (Acts 13:46) The Souls of Others (Matt. 15:14)

Matthew 15:14 “Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” (May we not be responsible for leading others “into a ditch”)

Conclusion As sinners destroy so much, let us determine to live righteously before God
