The mission of the program for Reproductive and Adult Endocrinology (PRAE) and the Reproductive Biology and Medicine Branch is to carry out clinical, translational and basic research in the areas of reproduction, women's health, adrenal diseases, and neruoendocrine disorders. Maintenance of superior fellowship training programs in reproductive, adult and pediatric endocrinology are paramount, allowing PRAE to achieve a true “bench to bedside” research environment. We service and investigate all aspects of women’s health including abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, reproduction in the patient with cancer infertility, and reproductive endocrine disturbances associated with all acute and chronic diseases. In addition, adrenal disorders, neuroendocrine tumors as well as adrenal and glucocordicoid receptor signaling and physiology are under our umbrella. The biomedical research conducted in PRAE is accomplished through clinical trials, as well as at the cellular, sub-cellular, protein and genomic levels, allowing us to provide outstanding training for the physicians/researchers of tomorrow.
