United Nations Global Marketplace - United Nations Global Marketplace - UNGM UNGM brings together UN procurement staff and the vendor community Through UNGM potential vendors can register with 24 UN Agencies that use UNGM as their vendor roster UNGM provides and excellent springboard to introduce your goods and services to UN organizations by completing only one on-line registration process The United Nations represents a global market for goods and services of over USD 15.3 billion annually UN agencies supporting UNGM account for 99.5% of the annual UN procurement volume

United Nations Global Marketplace - Initially developed in the 90’s under the auspices of the Inter-Agency Procurement Working Group: To provide vendors with a single point of entry to the UN procurement market To create a global vendor sourcing portal for the UN procurement system To consolidate UN agencies’ vendor rosters into one common vendor database The UNGM has a UN General Assembly mandate to: Enhance transparency and increase harmonization of procurement practices Simplify and streamline the registration process for vendors Increase procurement opportunities for vendors from developing countries Create one common UN global procurement website Publish procurement notices, contract awards and other relevant information UNGM – the UN Global Procurement Portal

United Nations Global Marketplace - UN agencies supporting UNGM account for 99.5% of the annual UN procurement volume (US$ billion in 2012) 1600 new vendor registrations are posted monthly More than 25 new procurement notices are posted daily More than 300 active procurement notices are on UNGM at any one time More than 1500 UN procurement staff of more than 34 UN or like organisations in more than 196 countries using UNGM UNGM – Quick Facts

United Nations Global Marketplace - In late 2013 a new and improved UNGM will be available - Further supporting the UN procurement principles of Transparency, Fairness and Integrity. Harmonizing and Simplifying the vendor registration process Focusing on vendors from the developing world – assisted registration, multi-lingual, on-line help, intuitive interface Improved technology to improve site responsiveness Automated matching of Vendors offerings to UN agencies requirements Significant reduction in evaluation time due to improved & harmonised processes. Types of registration with the UN agencies: 1.Basic Registration : Common and simple registration process 2.Qualification Levels: some UN agencies will require additional information to qualify for participating in tender process with potentially high contract values.
