What is Ozone? Ozone is a molecule composed of three atoms of oxygen. Two atoms of oxygen form the basic oxygen molecule. The third oxygen atom can detach from the ozone molecule, and re-attach to molecules of other substances, thereby altering their organic composition. How is Ozone Made? Ambient air (oxygen) passes through an air gap between a high voltage electrode and a stainless steel grounding electrode. corona Discharge versus Ultra Violet UV is Ambient Air that is passed over an ultraviolet lamp, this process splits oxygen (O2) molecules in the gas which produces less concentration of Ozone than Corona Discharge.
