Description…. Engine block temperature Oil pressure Coolant level An effective driver assistance system to prevent engine damage before it occurs

Main features…. Display panel on dash board. Audio and visual warnings. Two-stage temperature response. Warnings are followed by engine shut down before damage occurs. Engine shut down events are stored in memory, to be recalled afterwards. Digital outputs to external devices, such as fleet management systems. Suitable for high temperature engines. Suitable for high operating temperatures.

Benefits…. Engine damaged is effectively prevented. Drivers are assisted to take preventative action. Large repair costs are prevented. Loss of production due to down time is prevented. Vehicle productivity and customer service is improved. Reduced expenses result in increased profit. Low cost installation.

Operation…. Temperature: Engine METAL temperature is monitored, independent of the vehicle’s temperature sensor. Two stage response: 1. Audio and visual warning when engine starts to rise above normal. 2. Engine is shut down when temperature rises further to near dangerous levels. Engine temperature has to return to normal before the system resets. Temperature response levels are according to manufacturer specifications. Covers all sources of overheating.

Operation….(continued) Oil pressure: Oil pressure is monitored from the vehicle’s oil pressure switch. After starting the engine a time of 10 seconds is allowed for the pressure to stabilise. If the oil pressure fails at any time, the engine is shut down immediately, before damage can occur. This display indicates the status and the event is stored in memory. Water level: An independent float switch is installed in the expansion tank. When the coolant drops below the allowed minimum, a warning will alert the driver. If the warning is ignored, the engine will be shut down.

Competitive advantages…. Engine metal temperature is monitored, as opposed to water temperature. This advanced approach renders much faster response time, and covers all causes of over heating. Rising engine temperature is detected long before water temperature rises, improving engine protection. Maximum temperature parameters are programmed according to engine specifications of the specific vehicle. Two temperature parameters are used, the first as a warning of rising temperature, and the second to shut the engine down when a dangerous level is approached. Digital outputs can be connected to any fleet management system. Suitable for all engines, 12 and 24 Volt DC. Suitable for plant and machinery. The system features an advanced micro processor, incorporating the latest technology, rendering extreme accuracy and split second response time. Audible warnings alert the driver while his concentration is on the road. Visual display indicates status of engine temperature, water level and oil pressure continuously. Onboard memory gives evidence of the most recent occurrences of violations. The system is non volatile and stable under all operating conditions.

Technical….  Technologically advanced micro processor.  Ultra fast response times of less than 1 second  Memory is fully protected: Not affected by power failures, etc.  Built in protection against: Voltage fluctuations and surges. Electromagnetic disturbance. Radio and cell phone interference Reversed polarity. Vibrations. High humidity. Electrical spikes.  Suitable for high humidity operating conditions.  3 digital outputs for connecting to recording and communication equipment: 1. Engine temperature above normal (driver warning) 2. Engine temperature dangerous (engine shut down) 3. Oil pressure failure (engine shut down)  Power consumption:With engine running; 110 mA With engine off: 35 mA.  Power supply: 12 or 24 volt DC  Cut off circuit capacity: 30 amp.
