MIP4 Agenda 11/10/03 3 Draft Status Status of Mip4 drafts which are not otherwise on the agenda today: draft-ietf-mip4-aaa-nai-00.txt –This document has been reviewed by the IESG, and the questions raised have been addressed in the latest text. –One new issue has been raised on the list, and a new draft will be submitted after the IETF which hopefully will address this too. draft-ietf-mip4-vpn-problem-statement-00.txt –This has gone through WG last call with very few comments, and is now waiting for a writeup, and will then be sent to the IESG. draft-ietf-mobileip-lowlatency-handoffs-v4-05.txt –Waiting for writeup, to be submitted to the IESG draft-ietf-mip4-rfc2006bis-01.txt –Waiting for MIPv4 specific MIB review, and after that a MIB-doctor review. draft-ietf-mobileip-vpn-problem-solution-03.txt –All comments on the list has been addressed by the editor, but the document needs peer review to go forward. A WG chair review will also be done very soon. 13:22

MIP4 Agenda 11/10/03 9 Vendor-Specific Round-Up n Currently, there exists a number of vendor-specific extensions in deployed MIPv4 implementations, which is all good. n Purpose of round-up –Catalogue V-S Extensions found in the wild –Document purposes and details of the messages –Understand why they have been necessary –See if there are common needs for which new standard MIPv4 extensions should be defined. n We will not work on –V-S Extensions that the Vendor does not want to share –Link-specific V-S Extensions n Is this a worthwhile effort for this workgroup to take on? n Would people who would like to work on this please contact the chairs?
