 Microsoft SharePoint is a web-based collaboration tool and document management system from Microsoft.  Website  Portal  Basically a shared folder on the web

 Document Storage: Store and organize relevant classroom documents and handouts for students to access and submit when they are outside of the classroom  Collaboration: collaborate with students electronically using 21 st century tools like wikis and blogs.  E-Portfolio workflow and storage

 External facing sites at school level  High School Teacher Sites  Middle School Team Sites  Committee sites  E-Portfolio

 Representatives from elementary and middle schools that test out the process before it is rolled out across district  Develop types of artifacts and rubrics

Student Creates Artifact Student Submits Artifact to Teacher Site Teacher Approves Artifact Student submits to Records Center EPortfolio is stored in Records Center Workflow Begins Teacher Rejects Artifact: Workflow ends

 Student creates an artifact in their classroom  They submit the artifact to their teacher’s SharePoint site with a short reflection

 Once the artifact is submitted it initiates a workflow on the SharePoint Site  The teacher can elect to have an notification of the artifact submission, or they can check the document library

 The teacher approves or rejects the artifact with a short teacher reflection  If the artifact is rejected, the student can make changes and then resubmit

 Once approved, the student will send the artifact to the Documents Records Center  The student must complete the required fields for it to be sent successfully

 The document records center will store all of the student artifacts while they are in school.  Artifacts are read only once they are in the Records Center
