“The three bats” Based on the fairy tale, “Goldilocks and the three bears” Told by the students of 1/2H, Penrith PS, 2010.

Once upon a time there were three fruit bats. x

They were named Fruity, Batty and Robin.

The three fruit bats were just hanging around in the fruit trees. x

“Who’s been fiddling with my fruit?” asked each bat. x

The bats saw a farmer. Bat’s eye view --------->

“Oh, what lovely apples!” exclaimed the farmer.

“I’m going to make some apple pies, apple sauce and fruit salad.” x

The bats watched as the farmer picked some apples. x

“Who’s been fiddling with our fruit?” asked the bats. x

When the sky went dark, the bats started to fly around. x

The farmer looked up. He saw the bats’ glowing eyes. x

The farmer screamed! He dropped his apples. x

“Who’s been fiddling with our fruit?” asked the bats. x

The bats flew down to get their apples back. The end.
