Pride Goes Before A Fall

Pride Is Not… Self-esteem or self-respect (Mt. 22:39; 1 Tim. 4:12) Glorying in Christ (Rom. 16:17) A desire to improve (Heb. 6:1) A desire to be right (1 Jn. 5:4) Confidence, assurance, certainty (1 Jn. 5:13)

Pride Is … Inordinate view of self; conceit Exalting oneself over God, ignoring God (Psa. 10:3-4,11; 2 Thess. 2:4) Exalting oneself over fellow-man (Lk. 18:11)
