Company Technology Established in May 1999, Nanofilm Technologies International Pte Ltd is an internationally recognized authority in the field of Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc (FCVA) Technology. Our FCVA coating technology represents a significant advancement in thin film deposition, and is the result of 7 years ground-breaking work by a team of researchers led by Associate Professor Dr. Shi Xu, the Chairman and co-founder of Nanofilm. Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc (FCVA) Technology Our FCVA Technology has received numerous academic awards, including the prestigious Singapore Innovation Award & National Technology Award conferred by the National Science & Technology Board of Singapore. Nanofilm has a portfolio of patents covering various areas of FCVA Technology and its applications.patents

Company Technology Arc-evaporation deposition is normally used to apply wear-resistant coatings to machine tools. However, the substantial distribution of macroparticles associated with this process limits the film quality. To solve this problem, Nanofilm Technologies International Pte Ltd has developed a revolutionary new version of FCVA deposition technology. Our patented technology can produce high quality Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C) coatings to satisfy even the most stringent requirements.ta-C During deposition, the surface temperature of the substrate is generally below 70 °C, which makes coating on plastic possible too.

Film Qualities Company name Film by Competitor's Cathodic Arc Technology *Under optical microscope (X200) Film by Nanofilm's Double Bend FCVA Technology *Under optical microscope (X200)

Classification Company name Sp3 bound Sp2 bound FCVA technology can make The ta-C contains up to 88% of sp3 bonds

PCB Drills - Super high hardness (3000~6000HB). - Wear and scratch resistance. - Excellent adhesion to surface. - Extremely smooth coating surface. - Better release performance. - Corrosion resistance. - Diameter of plated through hole is getting smaller - The number of through holes is getting higher per square meter - Prolong the lifespan by 2 times on the flexible board, 4 times on the BAG board - Obviously avoid the fracture (0.1mm PCB drills) - Excellent smooth surface of the through hole - Excellent CPK Performance - Longer tools maintenance cycle - Less Manufacturing Downtime. - Lower production cost What is ta-C film provide: What are customer benefits :

PCB Drills Drilling of Double Sided Cu Clad/Fiber Reinforced Substrate: PCB Drills Workpiece : 2 layers, ½oz Cu, 0.8mm thickness, BT, 1 lot 30 panels Tool : Carbide drill bit with 0.3mm diameter Spindle Speed : 60,000 rpm Process : Continuous drilling without repointing CTQ : Top flute width Rejection Criteria : 30% wear of top flute Conclusion: ta-C Coating Extends Lifespan of Drill Bits by 3 Folds

PCB Drills Drilling of 16 Layers Cu Clad/Fiber Reinforced Substrate: PCB Drills Workpiece : 16 layers, ½ oz Cu, 2.1mm thickness, high Tg FR4,1 lot 30 panels Tool : Carbide drill bit with 0.3mm diameter Spindle Speed : 120,000 rpm Process : Repoint every 2000 hits CTQ : Nailheading, burr and roughness Conclusion: ta-C Coating Achieves Cost Reduction of 41%

PCB Routers Test condition: - FR4 board with thickness of 0.6mm - 2 layer per stack - Spindle speed : 35 Krpm - Feeding rate : 0.7 m/minutes - Board width : 60±0.1 mm PCB Routers Conclusion: After 16m routering with uncoated router, the PCB board is out of specification. After 56m routering with ta-C coated router, the PCB board is out of specification.

Endmills - Super high hardness (3000~6000HB). - Wear and scratch resistance. - Excellent adhesion to surface. - Extremely smooth coating surface. - Better release performance. - Corrosion resistance. - Excellent performance in some sticky metals cutting (anti-sticky) - Excellent smooth surface after cutting - Excellent CPK performance - Higher cutting speed - Longer tools maintenance cycle - Less Manufacturing Downtime. - Lower production cost - Longer tool life What is ta-C film provide: What are customer benefits :
