09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell The demonstration by Joan Hansen and Sheila Hixon was titled “Curves without Curved Piecing”. These sisters showed us many items they had made with this “new to us” technique.

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell The purple squares were folded in half, and secured to the corners of the base square. Then the diagonal fold was turned back toward the corner, and created the effect of a curve. An identical square was made, and then two squares were made with the fabrics in reverse. They make an attractive pillow.

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell Here they used smaller squares of different colors to accent fussy-cut base squares.

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell A border strip accents a tote bag.

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell Three sets make an attractive table runner

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell With larger pieces, you can stitch at the center of the diagonal piece to create two “teardrops” on each diagonal.

09/17/2007Curves & Show 'N Tell Joan received a surprise package of canned goods.
