2015 SUMMER PROGRAM APPLICATION About Our Enrichment Programs and Extra-Curricular Activities Peninsula Montessori School Hawthorne Blvd. Rancho Palos Verdes, California P: (310) F: (310) W: Our summer program will offer an academic morning using our Montessori curriculum and principles. The afternoon will consist of selected enrichment programs. Students will be treated to a BBQ lunch every Friday during each summer session courtesy of the Peninsula Montessori staff and administration. Jumbo water slides will be on hand for water play each Friday on the campus playground. Paid Half-Day and Full Day enrollment includes a FREE Peninsula Montessori School Summer Program T-Shirt. Kids in the Kitchen Students will stir up some excitement in the kitchen this summer. Our culinary class teaches all stages of food preparation. Your child will experience it all - from measuring cups to sweeping crumbs and everything in between. Materials Fee $20 Room for Rhythm Our younger students will get in the groove this summer with the playful study of music and motion. Elementary age students will be introduced to the process of making music electronically with Garage Band software in our fully equipped computer lab. Our Transition level students will sing, learn musical notation, and make their own instrument. Can’t beat that! Treasure Hunt Never lose those keys again. Students will explore our campus and their surroundings in the most unique way. Following directions, reading maps, and creative problem solving are but a few of the many skills they will hone. Materials Fee $20 Woodworking This course will help our students develop the art of carpentry. They will have the opportunity to create, develop, build and finish their individual wood items. Your child will experience the many miracles of science from all different angles. Materials Fee $20 Sports of all Sorts Coach Garry and team will have kids hopping, and running, and skipping, and a host of other fun activities this summer. Students will get to experience a variety of sports and activities, and they are guaranteed to have a ball! Art, Art and More Art Our art classes are designed for children of all abilities.
