The Lord’s Supper  Mark 14: “Jesus took bread, blessed, and broke it”  Acts 2:41-42 – “they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers”  Acts 20:7 – “on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread”  I Corinthians 11:23-26 – “I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you”

Communion with Christ  I Corinthians 10:16-22 – “is it not the communion of the blood of Christ”  John 6:53-58 – “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me”  I Corinthians 10:17 – “for we all partake of that one bread”  John 17:20-21 – “that they all may be one”

Price that Had to Be Paid  I Corinthians 11:20-26 – “this is My body which is broken for you”  Matthew 26:28 – “this is My blood of the new covenant”  Hebrews 9:16-22, 28 – “where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator”

Proclamation of Christ’s Death  I Corinthians 11:23-26 – “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes”  Exodus 12:13-14 – “So this day shall be to you a memorial”  I Corinthians 5:7-8 – “For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us”

A Physical and Spiritual Act  I Corinthians 11:27-34 – “whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty”  Hebrews 10:29 – “who has trampled the Son of God underfoot”

The Lord’s Supper  Let us never forget the significance of the Lord’s Supper  “take eat; this is My body”  “this cup is new covenant in My blood” “this do in remembrance of Me”
