The Hawaiian Monk Seal eats:  Lobsters  Octopuses  Eels  Fish  crustaceans

Most Hawaiian Monk Seals live on this island and some other places in Hawaii.500 Monk Seals live today in Hawaii. The little yellow spot is where they live today. They used to live in many places around Hawaii.

The Hawaiian Monk Seal has no legs and three flippers. It cant breath under water so it has to come up to breath. Its whiskers can sense where food is around it because its eye site isn't very good. It usually comes in the colors of brown or black. It can live up to 30 years. They can weigh 300 to 500 pounds. They don’t grow tusks like most seals and walruses do.

What is the reason that Monk Seals are endangered? These are a few reasons why… Many Monk Seals die of pollution. People Don’t realize how their trash is a big threat to Monk Seals. Because people don’t take the nets they used for fishing Monk Seals get caught n them and droned.
