The last 20 years have seen enormous changes to the island's wine culture and, as the many international prizes won by Sicilian producers confirm, some of Italy’s finest wines are now being made in Sicily. A new generation of Sicilian producers are realising the full potential of the island’s enviable climate, its grape varieties and its fertile soil. We are delighted to host Pierluigi Cosenza from Poggio Di Bortolone a seventh generation family wine business founded in the 18 th century in the Ragusa region in south of Sicily Pierluigi will talk about the wines and their production as well as life at the vineyard. This evening offers a fantastic opportunity to taste these fabulous wines, which have recently gained over 90% ratings in the Robert Parker guide, wine guru of the world. Listening to a wine maker telling his story is the most fascinating and captivating way to get to know the wines and of course the opportunity to taste alongside some delicious Sicilian style food.
