3 What is storytelling? Storytelling can be simply reading a story to someone, performing it, or even telling a friend about something that was on the television last night. Some of the most powerful stories we remember are those that were told to us, by a family member, or friend.

4 National Storytelling Week at Willowfield... There are lots of exciting activities to celebrate National Storytelling Week at Willowfield, so have a look at the list below and come and celebrate with us. * Take part in the Y7 and 8 Reading Wall competition or our whole school short story competition. *Visit the Library on Wednesday 1st February, where there will be a fantastic book sale, with many books on sale from just 10p! (12:55-1:35). *Get reading and join the GCSE revision guide sale in the library at lunchtime Wednesday 21 st February 2012. Come and join Creative Writing Club on Monday lunch times (1pm-1:40) for some storytelling. Come along to hear fascinating and imaginative stories, written and told by the CWC Members. Why not take the challenge of telling a mystery story to others? Every student who attends will have their name entered into a prize draw! *Put a suggestion in our library suggestion box for a new library book or way in which we can improve our library service.
