Marquis de Laffayette, Wentworth Cheswell, King George III, and James Armistead

 Marquis de Laffayette was a French nobleman who sailed to America to join the American Revolution.  He had a wife named Marie Adrienne Francioise de Noailles and four children.  He followed General Washington, and became one of his trusted aid.

 Wentworth Cheswell was the first black man to own property in New Hampshire. He married Mary Davis in 1767, and they had four sons and nine daughters.  He fought on the patriot side of the war.  He fought in the battle of Saratoga in 1777, which was a great victory for the patriots. His military career ended after this battle.

 King George III was the king of Great Britian, he had a wife and ten sons.  His actions sparked the rebellion, which led to war. He was inspiration for the loyalist side, although he didn’t fight the battle himself.

 James Armistead was married and had a large family.  He was a patriot spy.  He was hired by Laffayette to spy on the British enemy and he gathered information about their movement.
