The White House The White House is an important part of Washington, D.C. It is where the president lives and works. George Washington is only one president who didn’t live there. The White House has 132 rooms. Visitors may tour some of the first -floor rooms; second floor is home for the president and his family. The White House has many special rooms. It even has a private bowling alley and a movie theatre.
