PRESENT TENSES

1 He has a new car, doesn’t he? 2 They have been to London, haven’t they? Rarely Hardly Never They rarely watch TV, do they?

We’re sure of the answer, the voice goes down in the question tag. It’s a horrible day, isn’t it? We ‘re not sure of the answer, the voice goes up in the question tag. The play is at 7 o’clock, isn’t it?

C ONCLUSION We use question tags to ask for confirmation or agreement. After affirmative statements we use a negative question tag. After negative statements we use a positive question tag.
