Tomb Sweeping Day is a day for people to think about their ancestors at their tombs. sweep the tombs give things to their ancestors burn paper money

Tomb Sweeping Day is celebrated on the 15 th night of the 7 th lunar month. In 2012, Tomb Sweeping Day is on April 4.

Because Tomb Sweeping Day is in the beginning of spring, it is usually a rainy day.

People will give these foods to their ancestors. chicken fruit red rice cake duck egg

There is a famous painting about Tomb Sweeping Day. It is called, “Along the River During the Qingming Festival.”

This day is similar to days in other countries, like The Day of the Dead in Mexico.
