Nehemiah helped Israel flourish *Secured authority to improve city *Motivated others to build the wall *Corrected the sins & failures of people

We need to correct our sins & errors *To please God *To be right with God *To influence others for good *For the church to flourish

Nehemiah corrected abuse Of the temple, Neh. 13:4-14 *Used to store personal possessions *Used for an enemy of Israel *Possessions thrown out *Levites supported once again

Abuse of the Lord’s house must stop, Eph. 2:19-22 *Dictatorship, 3 Jn *Physical property: well maintained *Physical property used for the Lord ›Worship, not recreation ›Bible study, not social gatherings

Servants of the Lord must be supported, 1 Cor. 9:1-14 *Obligation *Privilege, Phil. 4:15-17
