We had an amazing turnout for the neighborhood clean-up. We had close to 40 people helping and donating articles. We had two bobcats, one dump truck and one dumpster donated. In the end we filled the entire dump truck with concrete and were able to level off many empty lots with the bobcat. We cut down many dead trees and pruned many more. We had so much donated that we had a lot left over which we will save for the block party. AWESOME!!! All the food for lunch was donated, so the ONLY cost we incurred was the disposal cost which was $240. Thanks to everyone for pitching in and helping; this is truly what a neighborhood is about.  Neighborhood clean-up project

This has been a very fun and exciting event for our subdivision and well supported by many local businesses.  Block party October 3rd

We are working on making all empty lots look like our ideal lot. Steve Kamp has donated dirt fill and a bobcat to level the empty lots. This is a great example of neighbors and builders working together.

In a wet pond, natural grasses and wildflowers help with erosion control and water filtration.

This pond was intended to have natural grasses and wildflowers, but unfortunately those plants did not become established and weeds took over the dry retention pond. To restore this pond back to wildflowers and grasses would be a huge financial undertaking. It is our desire to restore it to a Kentucky Bluegrass pond like our other dry retention ponds. If you would allow us to do this, we would bear the entire financial burden for the restoration. However, if we must restore it back to wildflowers and grasses, we would consider the cost to do so the responsibility of the original developer and the village since we received it in this state. We are asking that you allow us to change the pond to Kentucky Bluegrass which would be a more cost effective restoration process as well as more easily maintained.

Wildflowers and natural grasses are necessary components for a wet pond because they help with erosion control and water filtration. However they do not help address the problems of a dry retention pond which are rodents, smell, mosquitoes and an overall poor appearance. As you can see by the previous slides, we have already done a lot on our own to make this subdivision one of the best in Frankfort. We know you get many requests from other HOA’s to help with their problems, but we are only asking you to allow us to fix our own problems ourselves. Please help us get approval to convert our natural grass and wildflower dry retention ponds to Kentucky Bluegrass.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP AND YOUR SUPPORT!
