 Running And Jumping Repeatedly On Turf  Jamming The Toe  Bad Footwear

 Stiffness  Swelling  Limited Range Of Motion  Pain  Discoloration

 R.I.C.E (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)  Anti-Inflammatory Medication  Special Footwear Inserts  X-Ray  Surgery  Short Leg Cast  Walker Boot

 Proper Shoes  Switch To Grass Or Dirt Instead Of Turf

 Three Weeks Of Rest Should Occur To Allow The Joint Capsule To Heal.  Special Inserts May Be Used To Limit The Range Of Motion From Further Damage On The Joint Capsule  Ask Doctor To Evaluate Your Feet For Possible Inserts To Control Motion Of The Inflamed Joint.

 If A Player Returns To Early To Their Sport After A Turf Toe Injury, The Injury May Come Back.  Bone Spurs May Occur Which Severely Limit The Range Of Motion Of The Toe Joint. If Bone Spurs Occur, Surgery May Be Needed.
